About Polished Pawfection
My name is Amber, and I am a fully qualified dog groomer in Bedford, specializing in expert grooming services with a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming achieved through Mapelu Training Academy and Rascals. Additionally, I am Animal First Aid trained, ensuring I can treat and care for your dog in an emergency situation. With over 3 years of experience as an ex-zookeeper at Whipsnade Zoo, I possess a broad range of knowledge and experience with both exotic and domesticated species, allowing me to provide exceptional pet services during the grooming process. At Polished Pawfection, your dog's comfort and style are my top priorities.
At Polished Pawfection, we offer premium dog grooming services tailored to the specific needs of each dog. Our bespoke grooming sessions are designed to accommodate your dog’s individual requirements through personalized 1:1 services. We specialize in handling all temperaments, including nervous and unpredictable dogs, ensuring a calm experience for every furry friend. Our team is very welfare-minded; if your dog shows any signs of discomfort or stress, our groomers will pause the session to allow for a much-needed break and playtime. Our comfortable studio is air-conditioned for the summer and heated in the winter months, ensuring your pet's comfort in any weather. With our experienced team, your pet will receive gentle and caring treatment using high-quality grooming products, resulting in a clean, healthy, and stylish look. Furthermore, we provide breed-specific trims and customized grooming packages, making sure your dog always looks and feels their best with our dedicated pet services.

Prices are based on the time taken and is not based on the breed or size. Please Call or Visit us for pricing so we can give you a accurate price depending on the breed of your dog. This helps us work out the amount of time the groom will take. You are very welcome to visit the groom room and ask any questions you may have, ahead of making a booking at Polished Pawfection. If you wish to visit please call ahead beforehand so we can ensure their are no dogs being groomed at the time. Please inform staff 48hrs before your appointment slot if you think you need to rearrange your grooming slot. If adequate notice is not received, a 50% no show fee will apply and is to be paid in advance, before any further services at Polished Pawfection can commence.

Full Groom
Full Groom includes, Bathing with Shampoo, Blow dry, Brushing, Deshedding and Dematting, Nail Trim, Ear Cleaning, Anal Glands expressed,Nose and Paw Oil and Cologne to finish the groom off.
Small Dog - 1.5/2 Hours

Medium Dog - 2/2.5 Hours

Large Dog - 2.5/3 Hours

Half groom
Includes Bathing with Shampoo, Anal glands, Blow Dry, Brushing, any styling/ trimming you wish aswell as Nail Trim and Cologne

Brush and Bath
Simple Maintenance if your dog doesn’t need grooming or is a breed with a double coat such as German Shepherd or a short haired dog such as a French bull dogs, pugs. A simple bath, blow dry and brush keeps coats looking clean and healthy. All Double coat breeds and short haired dogs will be brushed and de shedded with specialist brushes and shampoos, all included in the cost of the bath and brush.
Small Dog - 1 Hours

Hand Stripping
Hand stripping is a specialized grooming technique for wire-haired dog breeds such as border terriers, schnauzer, airedale terrier e.t.c where a groomer manually plucks dead outer hairs instead of cutting them.
Small Dog - 2/3 hours

Puppy Sessions
This service is for puppies 10 weeks plus who have had thier second vaccinations, this age allows the 1 to 2 week period after thier second vaccine at 8 weeks to ensure they are fully protected before coming to the salon. In these sessions your puppy will come into the salon and meet the team so they are comfortable with us when they come for thier first groom. It also allows them the chance to desensitise with the environment and the sounds of a grooming salon.
Nail trimming - 15/20 minutes

Hygiene
Providing your furry friends with essential hygiene and treatments to maintain their health and wellbeing. All Flea, Tick and Worming treatments come with a record card for both us and you to keep track.

Teeth Cleaning
Enjoy quick and painless plaque scraping and brushing using our specialized dog toothpaste, part of our expert grooming services that ensure your pet experiences Polished Pawfection.
Nose and Paw Oil
Our dog safe lickable oil is perfect for grooming your pet, applied to your dog's noses and paws to keep those pads soft and prevent dry, cracked noses. With expert grooming at Polished Pawfection, you can ensure your furry friend's comfort and health through our premium pet services.
Worming Treatment
There is an added cost for dog grooming services based on your dog's weight to ensure the correct dosage is administered, ensuring a polished pawfection with expert grooming for your pet.
Prices are subject to change depending on dog’s condition and the time it takes our groomers to get your dog looking pawfect.
